Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS) of Livestock and fisheries Madam Linah Jebii Kilimo officiated the handing over of FAO donated PPR vaccines at Kilimo Headquarters grounds. She at the same time flagged off FAO’s donation of PPR vaccines to be used by beneficiary counties. Pestedes petits Ruminants (PPR)is a highly contagious trans-boundary viral disease of small ruminants i.e. sheep and goats which has globally earmarked for eradication and Kenya is one of the country’s which has taken steps towards controlling it. The donation will go towards protecting Livestock and therefore creating an increase in livestock industry. During the handing over PS Harry Kimtai who accompanied CAS at the grounds, called upon any other willing body and well wishers to patner with his Department in eradicating the disease. Jebii was also accompanied by FAO representative in Kenya Madame Carla Mucavi , Dr Obadiah Njagi of Veterinary, Director DLP Dr Bashir among others
