“Eat more fish” campaign in Uasin Gishu

The County Government of Uasin Gishu, Fisheries Directorate conducted a “eat more fish” campaign aimed at increasing per capita consumption of fish from local farmers.

Agriculture CEC Samuel Yego urged residents with the capacity of establishing fish ponds to do so since the county has enough fingerlings. He further assured them of a readily available market within the region.

The Chief Officer, Livestock Development and Fisheries, Dr Victoria Tarus urged those with parcels of land to utilize them to increase productivity as the county works towards food security
