Record keeping training for AI service providers

The County Government of Uasin Gishu, Department of Agriculture Livestock Development and Fisheries has trained Artificial Insemination (AI) service providers on digital record-keeping that was facilitated by Digicow to enable a farmer to get analyzed breeding reports in the DigiCow Mobile Application.

According to the Acting Chief Officer Livestock Dr. Philip Biama and his counterpart for Agriculture Reuben Seroney, the training enables A. I service providers to keep Digital breeding records that provide real-time reports complete with all the necessary information. This will automatically alert them on important data like repeat A.I, pregnancy diagnosis, drying, steaming and calving date when due.

The duo praised the digital transformation in the County saying that the adoption of digital agriculture has provided a way to make farms sustainable, productive and profitable.
