Nyeri County has given out manure worth Ksh 2 Million to coffee farmers in Mahiga ward where 2,746 farmers are set to benefit, in a bid to increase coffee productivity and coffee quality.
Governor Kahiga also launched 39 milking gallons for co-operatives in Mweiga ward
He also launched acaricides worth Ksh 1.64 Million to 22 community cattledips in Kieni East, Kieni West, Nyeri South, Mathira East, Tetu and Mathira West sub-counties during the 1st consignment. This is in an effort to bring down the occurrences of diseases which cause huge losses to livestock farmers. He noted that the County Government of Nyeri is committed to rehabilitation of all viable cattledips in the county to enhance control of vector borne disease.
