The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries in Kenya has imported 350 milk coolers worth 2.2b and so far according to the CS Agriculture Mwangi Kiunjuri. Speaking while commissioning 9 milk coolers in Trans Nzoia County, Kiunjuri said 283 of them have been distributed and installed in various cooperatives across the country.14 milk coolers have been delivered to Trans Nzoia County.
The CS says the coolers will reduce post-harvest losses and increase milk productivity as farmers will be able to preserve their milk in the required conditions before selling it.
