The County Government of Uasin Gishu has teamed up with the National Cereals and Produce Board to ensure farmers have easy access to subsidized fertilizers.
The CEC for Agriculture Edward Sawe says the county has offered 5 stores capable of holding up to 60,000 bags of 50kgs to be used as distribution centres for the fertilizer. He adds that over 99,000 farmers have been registered in the county and fertilizers can be accessed at all NCPB depots and KNTC stores with plans ongoing to avail them at cooperative societies.
