MP Waluke to be remanded over Ksh 297 million NCPB fraud

Sirisia MP John Waluke and the mother of former Environment CS Judi Wakhungu will be remanded at the Kileleshwa Police Station pending their sentencing on June 25. This is after they were found guilty in a fraud case of Ksh 297 million involving National Cereals and Produce Board (NCPB).

Magistrate Elizabeth Juma ruled that there was fraud and the accused acquired money by false pretences. It is alleged that on February 24, 2009, the legislator as the Director of Erad, knowingly and fraudulently uttered a false invoice for Ksh 114 million to be used as evidence in the arbitration of a dispute between his company and the NCPB.
