Juice manufacturer gets into potato seed propagation

Kenya Agricultural and Livestock Research Organization (KALRO) has availed 5 potato breeder seeds Shangi, Dutch Robin, Unica, Kenya and Sherekea to Kevian Kenya Limited under a license agreement signed at KALRO headquarters today.

Over 50,000 patato farmers will access the clean potato seed from Kevian for 15 years. Kenya has a big deficit of certified potato seed. The partnership agreement was signed by Dr Eliud Kireger (KALRO) and Kimani Rugendo (Kevian Kenya Limited).
