Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Sale Number 31 in this week’s HK Coffee Market Summary edition.
The sale 31 in the coffee year 2023/2024 held after a one-week break was on 4th June 2024 at the 2nd Floor Wakulima House along Haile Selassie Avenue, where the Nairobi Coffee Exchange is situated, and online platforms.

Key highlights
1. Volumes traded: 26,431 Bags or 1,621,160Kgs
2. Value: $7,109,776 or Ksh 952,710,030 (953 Million)
3. Maximum price fetched per bag: $392 or $7.8 per Kilo of clean coffee or Ksh 157 per kilo of cherry from Kiburi farm
4. 26% of all coffee traded or 6,834 bags were confirmed at the trading floor
5. 11% of all coffee traded or 2,790 bags were from farms/cooperatives that have been certified. Certifications include RA, FLO, RFA

10 Brokers participated, with Alliance Berries leading in volume traded, followed by New KPCU and KCCE

16 buyers participated, led by Ibero Kenya who bought the highest volume, followed by C.Dormans and Louis Dreyfus
