Uasin Gishu trains on data collection

The County Government of Uasin Gishu in partnership with the World Food Program has commenced a two-day training of the county livelihood zone review team.

The objective of the training is to provide knowledge to the team on the methodology and the tools to be used during the exercise in order to ensure that the team has a common understanding of the process which entails the collection of Livelihood Zone(LZ) data and feed it to an App that will be used to complete the LZ county report.

Speaking during the training, CECM for Agriculture Samuel Yego said that the collection of data is timely and will inform future decisions that will drive a sustainable, equitable and inclusive food systems transformation program. The team leader from the National Government Mr. Anthony Munyao said that the exercise is important as this will generate information that will be used by the Government and other stakeholders in addressing various needs through informed interventions.
