About 140 new recruits from the Department of Agriculture have commenced a three-day induction training after their recruitment late last year in April.
The team comprises livestock production officers, fisheries officers, agricultural officers, engineers, animal health officers, plant operators, drivers, leather development officers, veterinary officers as well as clerical officers.
While opening the training session, Agriculture Chief Officer, Mr Kibett Maina, congratulated the new civil servants adding that the training was key to equip them with skills and knowledge to carry on their duties with. He urged the team to be diligent civil servants while giving service to the Government of Kenya. He added that the County Government has brought on board young employees to be mentored and successfully succeed retired and retiring civil servants.
