Homabay County has delivered an impressive performance at the Nairobi Coffee Exchange this season, moving 952 bags of clean coffee across five sales, approximately 57,463 kilograms, earning USD 464,846 in total sales at an average price of USD 404 per 50-kg bag.
The results place the county firmly among Kenya’s competitive coffee-producing regions.
What stands out most is the county’s strong showing in premium grades. Grade AB accounted for 40% of all volumes, followed closely by AA at 25%. This means that two out of every three bags sold were top-grade coffees.

The diversity of remaining grades—C (11%), PB (7%), NH (Naturals) (5%), along with smaller but notable contributions from TT, UG1, and T (each 3%), and MH (Mbuni) (1%), paints a picture of a county steadily building both quality and consistency.
The spread also highlights an important truth about Kenya’s coffee sector: quality coffee is produced in every corner of the republic.
