Uasin Gishu County has constructed 23 markets in the financial year 2019/2020 across the county.
According to Trade CEC Dr.Emily Kogos, the aim is to provide traders with mechanisms that would see them easily access a central designated selling point for their produce.
“Providing a conducive ground for traders is among other objectives that we have set out for our traders to run their businesses with ease,” says Kogos
Most of these markets she says are complete awaiting allocation to deserving traders.
The county says it has further earmarked the construction of at least 17 other markets in the financial year 2020/2021.
