The establishment of Karandili cattle auction in Karuna/Meibeki by the Department of Trade and Industrialization in Uasin Gishu is set to boost cattle auctioning within the area thus creating a suitable environment for farmers to sell their cows. This is according to the Operational Licensing Director Mr. Silas Kering Leting.
Speaking when he toured the site he added that upon completion the facility will be spacious enough to hold up to 300 cattle. Leting noted that the cattle auction facility will not only reduce the distance covered by farmers in search for market for their livestock but will also boost the economy of the residents.
