The Nairobi Coffee Exchange conducted Sale 34 on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, generating significant trading activity that saw 7,278 bags weighing 455,031 kg sold for a total value of $2,851,395.12 (KSh 368 million).
The overall average price reached $313 per 50kg bag, with considerable variation across different coffee grades, ranging from a minimum of $112 to a maximum of $386 per 50kg bag.
Among the brokers, New Kenya Planters Co-operative Union PLC led trading volumes with 1,878 bags (118,207 kg) valued at $758,728.40, while Alliance Berries Limited offered the highest volume at 1,897 bags (117,744 kg) worth $736,657.82.

On the purchasing side, C. Dormans SEZ Ltd dominated dealer activity with acquisitions of 1,688 bags weighing 103,643 kg for a total value of $694,150.00, followed by Kenyacof Limited with 1,024 bags (63,688 kg) valued at $390,413.00. Other significant purchases included Louis Dreyfus Company, which acquired 928 bags (59,496 kg) for $341,344.00, and Taylor Winch (Coffee) Limited, which purchased 737 bags (45,950 kg) worth $289,298.92.
The auction demonstrated robust market health with 18 active dealers and 7 marketing agents participating, indicating strong competition and effective price discovery mechanisms within Kenya’s coffee trading ecosystem.
