Sale 1 of the 2025/2026 season took place on 7th October 2025, at the Nairobi Coffee Exchange.
A total of 11,179 bags (695,939 kg) of coffee were sold across all brokers. The sale generated a total value of USD 5,222,913, equivalent to approximately Ksh 704 million, with an overall average price of USD 375.24 per 50 kg bag ($ 7.50 per Kg or Ksh 149 per Kg of Cherries).
By grade, AB dominated trading with 3,953 bags worth USD 1.93 million at an average of USD 398, followed by C grade with 3,070 bags worth USD 1.42 million at an average of USD 374, and AA grade with 1,024 bags worth USD 590,759.82 at an average of USD 454 per Bag

Broker and Dealer Performance
On the broker side, the largest consignments were presented by
• Alliance Berries (2,922 bags, USD 1.38M, avg price. USD 379 per bag),
• New KPCU (2,926 bags, USD 1.36M, avg. USD 373 per bag),
• Kipkelion (944 bags, USD 454K, avg. USD 385 per bag),
• KCCEMA (891 bags, USD 424K, avg. USD 381 per bag)
• Meru Union (697 bags, USD 299K, avg. USD 347 per bag)
• CEBBA: (608 bags, USD280k avg USD 367 per bag)
• Kirinyaga Slopes 581bags, USD 267, avg USD 374 per bag)
On the buying side, the top five dealers dominated trade, led by
• Ibero Kenya Ltd (2,514 bags worth USD 1.12M)
• C. Dormans SEZ Ltd (2,234 bags worth USD 1.12M)
• Louis Dreyfus Company (1,531 bags worth USD 687K)
• Taylor Winch (1,328 bags worth USD 641K)
• Sasini Ltd (1,186 bags worth USD 593K).

Collectively, these five purchased 8,793 bags valued at USD 4.16M, which represents about 78.7% of the total volume and 80% of the total value of the entire sale, underlining their continued dominance at the Exchange.
